Follow Route 3 northbound to exit 16. Travel south on Route 18 south (Main Street). At the third traffic light, turn left on to Columbian Street. Take the first left. Parking garage is at the end of the driveway on the right. Follow I-93 south to Route 3 south (Braintree/Cape Cod). Take exit 16B off Route 3 on to Route 18 south (Main Street). The Courtesy Shuttle provides transportation to patients who need a ride to an appointment at South Shore Hospital or to a program or service directly affiliated with South Shore Hospital. Services Emergency & Trauma Level II Trauma Center Pediatric Emergency Care Maternity Center Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Cancer Diagnostic Testing & Imaging Sleep Medicine Pastoral Care Visitor Information Effective March 14, 2020, we are restricting ALL visitors - unless pre-approved by each patient's care team under extenuating circumstances. For more information on this policy, please click here . Maternity Center Our “Mother’s Choice” visiting policy means each new mother determines if and when she wants to receive visitors. Our maternity concierge is located on the unit to ensure visitors follow each mother’s preferences. Please check with the new Mom before you arrive for a visit. Please note that siblings may not visit without a responsible adult, and are not allowed to stay overnight at the hospital. Visiting is also restricted in the NICU to those over the age of 16. The NICU reserves the right to limit sibling visits. Critical Care Unit Only family and significant others are permitted to visit patients on our critical care unit. We ask that no more than two family members visit at a time. Further limitations may be made at the discretion of the nursing staff. Emerson Lobby Café Our café is open from 6:30 AM-1 AM and is located on the first floor of the hospital as you enter the McKim Family Main Entrance. The café serves specialty hot and iced coffee, homemade baked goods, breakfast sandwiches, grab and go salads and sandwiches, and toasted sandwiches. Senior Supper Seniors receive 10 percent off their meal Monday-Friday from 4-6 PM. Gift Shops The Friends of South Shore Health operates our gift shop— The Friendly Shop . All proceeds are donated to our Health System to benefit patients and their families. Our gift shop offers a wide variety of flowers, clothing, greeting cards, jewelry and other unique gifts.
